Woman Destroys Her Ex-Stepdad’s New Nursery After He Gets Her Friend Pregnant

My friends petty revenge on her ex-stepdad who got her friend pregnant

Setting the stage for a workplace friendship that quickly spirals into a wildly inappropriate family entanglement.

Hi Potato Queen and her little potato tots. This is a tad long, but definitely worth hearing the revenge.

This isn’t my story, but this is my friend's petty revenge against her ex-stepfather and an old friend of hers, and it’s pretty satisfying.

So my friend, let’s call her Kay (36F), got some petty revenge against her former friend, let’s call this one Lilly (25F), and Kay’s ex-stepfather, let’s call him Jim (63)....

So, my friend Kay and I are former coworkers. In the industry we’re both in, leaving the business you were currently employed at is like leaving a cult.

This is kind of important, but not really.

At one point I (32F), Kay, and Lilly all worked together.

I personally was never a fan of Lilly, and it was pretty known around the company that she and I didn’t get along.

Lilly was known to have "daddy issues" and date men well above her age. She was also just a super needy person and negative 24/7, so yeah, just not a...

Anyway, Lilly would always make smart remarks to my friend Kay about Kay’s (at the time) stepdad.

Saying comments all the time about how "if Jim ever asked her on a date she’d jump on it" and "omg your stepdad is so hot."

I always found these comments disgusting, BUT this story isn’t about me.

Long story short, Jim ended up separating from Kay’s mom, and guess who jumped on the opportunity.

You guessed it! Lilly.

She somehow got Jim’s number, they started texting, and boom, now they’re going on dates, yadda yadda.

All while this is happening, Kay, Lilly, and I ended up leaving the old company. I branched off on my own freelancing, while Kay and Lilly stuck together at a...

Kay wasn’t aware of the seriousness that Lilly and Jim were evolving into. Once she realized what was going on, the tension between the two of them was very, very...

It got to the point where Lilly ended up going back to where we all started (which is super rare in our line of work, because again, culty energy).

The ultimate nightmare scenario for any child of divorce: a former peer stepping into the role of the new matriarch.

Anyway, Lilly ended up going back to the old company, and not long after there was an announcement that she and Jim were expecting a baby!! Yay!!

So now, Kay’s sister, let’s call her Bri (33F), was still living in Jim’s house but planned on moving out in the fall of that year when Lilly was supposed...

Lilly made it known that Bri was unwelcome, since Lilly was basically slowly moving into Jim’s house and was starting to consume Jim’s entire life.

Bri ended up getting her own place and was slowly moving her stuff out, since she and Jim agreed she didn’t need to get her stuff out all at once.

Lilly made it known that Bri’s room was going to be the new nursery, and here is where the fun comes in.

Kay and Bri were there one day getting a bunch of things when Jim came storming into the kitchen where they were. He started b****ing at them that they need...

Fair.

They started packing everything that belonged to Bri, from the kitchen down to every single spice in the kitchen.

Transforming a standard move-out into a calculated, biohazardous strike against the impending arrival.

They go upstairs where Bri's bedroom was and start packing the rest of the room.

Little did anyone besides the two of them know, in one of the bags they had was an industrial pump sprayer used for deep cleanings, whole milk, and crusty old...

They mixed the whole milk and vinegar into the sprayer and started their sour revenge.

The mixture started to curdle as they pulled back the carpet next to the baseboards and sprayed.

They took this chonky, rotten cottage cheese mixture and sprayed around the entire border of the room in between the carpet and baseboards.

Took the access panel to the attic off (attic is right above the room), hoisted themselves and their cheesy mixture up there, and sprayed in between the insulation and random...

Now, imagine that smell.

And not knowing where it’s coming from at all, and probably not able to find where it’s coming from.

Legend has it, that room still has that chonky, funky, rotten cottage cheese smell to it, and they still have no idea where the smell is coming from.

The emotional devastation in this story is rooted in the profound emotional experience of betrayal trauma. When a close friend actively pursues a parental figure, it completely shatters the fundamental boundaries of trust and safety that both friendships and family units rely on. As outlined by psychological theories on betrayal, this specific type of pain occurs when someone we depend on for emotional connection violates the core agreements of that relationship. For Kay, losing a friend is difficult enough, but watching that same friend usurp her mother’s former role and push her sister out of their childhood home feels like an intense emotional invasion.

While the cottage cheese revenge is undeniably petty and destructive, it stems from a place of deep powerlessness. When people feel their personal boundaries have been completely disregarded by those closest to them, they often lash out in ways that attempt to reclaim some sense of control. Moving forward, the healthiest path for Kay and her sister is to establish strict, no-contact boundaries with both Jim and Lilly, rather than engaging in further toxic family dynamics. Seeking support from a neutral professional can also help navigate these complex feelings of loss.

Community Opinions

Most readers sided firmly with the unborn baby, criticizing the petty revenge while a vocal few understood the intense emotional betrayal that drove it.

u/RachelleKitty Okay....... I'm not really sure why there was a need for revenge though honestly. Like I get that the friend went after the ex step father but it wasn't...

u/EustachiaVye This just hurts a baby and a new mom, pretty pathetic of your friend, in my humble opinion.

u/mamakitti2011 I can actually smell it. And it's making me gag. I've worked in an ER, the smells can be atrocious. I always thought the upper gi bleeds were the...

u/nuqsh Yeah your friend and her sister are s***. And what did an unborn baby do to be called names?

u/Lost_and_Found_Now More just pathetic than revenge, your friend might want to remember her age and that she isn’t a child anymore, so maybe she should stop acting like one.

And a few reminded everyone that while the adults created the mess, the only true victim was the child who would inevitably have to sleep in that pungent room.

Do you think Kay and Bri were justified in their stinky sabotage, or did they take out their anger on an innocent child? And if your friend crossed the ultimate boundary by dating your parent, how would you handle the fallout? Share your hot take below!
